La Coquette Cotons

La Coquette Cotons is and will always be a small Coton Family. We proudly show and breed only the finest of these wonderful canine friends. All of our Show and Breeding dogs are thoroughly health tested.

I currently test for the following on my dogs. OFA Hips (Prelim and or Permanent), OFA Patellas and Cardio, Full Blood Panels, CERF eye exams and CMR on Breeding Males. All must register in the normal ranges.

My dogs live in the home and are family loved, nurtured and raised. Puppies arrivals are a special occasion at “La Coquette”. Only one or two litters a year. Breedings are well planned in advance. When puppies arrive it is an exciting time! Puppies are socialized with young children and are exposed to many different situations as they grow. They are handled and loved many times throughout each day. Puppies are crate trained when they go off to their new homes. I personally groom all my dogs. They do not go off to groomers and puppies are socialized to baths and blow drying from about 6 weeks on.

I have always been raised with animals in my life and love and adore this special breed. Until you have one in your life the joy they bring cannot be expressed adequately! Please feel free to contact me personally and discuss how this breed may fit into your life. I take great pride in placing my babies and look forward to finding the perfect home where they can reign as King or Queen in a very special Palace (your home!).

This is a rare breed and as such they are more expensive than many out there. You are getting something very special and unusual. Take your time in picking your breeder and puppy. This is a long term commitment and relationship. You need to feel good about the breeder and how you communicate with them. Make sure that they understand what temperament you are looking for in your companion.

Our Coton Family began in the year 2000

Chateaus Something Special, Sami was our first Coton and is a joy and delight. She is our Mama and a true Princess in the household. Sami is now retired and is the resident Queen of the pack. Although she is now 9 ½ years old, she still runs and plays and acts like a puppy!

In January 2003 we added our 2nd Coton, a male to our home. He was, Simply Grand Standing Room Only, Pavarotti. He completed his IABCA National Title and while doing so went Best in Show Rare Breed. Since that time he completed his USACTC Championship, ARBA Championship and ARBA Master Champion along with receiving a Reserve Best in Show at his first Rarities Show. We are very proud of his accomplishments.

As a note, Pavarotti has been missing now for over 4 years. He was placed in a loving home to be the “Prince of Beverly Hills” and also remain a Stud Dog when we needed him. In a tragic turn of events, while he was out with the family he lived with, he got away for a moment .  A car was seen stopping and picking him up. He has never been returned. My heart still breaks not knowing where he is or what has happened to him.  He will be in our hearts forever.

Arriving at our home in September of 2003 was "Simply Grand Harmony in Motion". Harmony became  an ARBA Champion and USACTC Champion and ARBA Master Champion.

Harmony is a wonderful mother and now resides in Arizona.
